Data‐ and AI‐Driven Product‐Led Growth

This chapter looks at how data technologies, skill sets, and resources drive product‐led growth (PLG). With the PLG approach, every interaction a user has with a product is meticulously optimized for maximum user satisfaction, conversions, and referrals. The chapter also looks at some notable methods for using data to optimize product features and user experience. Product analytics provide insights into users' interactions, preferences, and behaviors. Product managers and internal stakeholders utilize a range of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to analyze data and improve decision‐making processes related to product strategy. The chapter presents a list of AI and machine learning tools that are useful for driving PLG: customer data platforms, predictive analytics tools, natural language processing tools, advanced business intelligence tools, A/B testing platforms, user behavior analytics tools, and voice of customer tools. Traditional personalization solutions depend on static rules and classifications, like: rule‐based recommendations and manual segmentation.
