An Input-Delay Compensation Strategy for Deadbeat Predictive Current Control of PMSM

In deadbeat predictive current control scheme, the input-delay arising from the signal conditioning circuit (SCC) in current measurement will lead to predictive error and control performance deterioration. In this letter, first, the input-delay issue is detailly analyzed. Then, to solve it, the input-delay is identified by the use of frequency characteristic of SCC. On this basis, a novel phase-shift sampling method is put forward to substantially compensate for the input-delay. When adopting this strategy, current control performance can be significantly enhanced without any pattern judgments or complex calculations. Finally, experiments are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
