Speed Sensorless Control Based on Model-Free Predictive Controller for Dual Three-Phase PMSMs

In this article, a rotor position estimation method based on xy subspace of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP-PMSM) is proposed. By exploiting the saliency of the phase current derivative measurements during basic PWM excitation, accurate estimates during a wide speed range can be achieved. At the same time, considering the disturbances of harmonics in xy subspace to rotor position estimation accuracy, model-free predictive current control (MFPCC) is introduced to further suppress harmonics. In addition, an extended state observer based on ultra-local model is designed to improve the robustness of the strategy. Finally, the control performance of the proposed strategy and the traditional strategy is compared on the experimental platform, and the superiority of the proposed strategy is verified.
