Demonstration of synchronization signal transmission over All-Photonic Network

We successfully demonstrated the synchronization reference signal transmission architecture for realizing All-photonic network (APN) in mobile fronthaul network. We put forward an improved architecture by adding flexible bridge for precision time protocol (PTP) timing errors that eliminates the need for optical wavelength path reconnection. Experiment shows that by evaluate the influence of PTP time error, APN has better synchronization reference signal quality than optical transport network (OTN).
