In order to maintain the excellent tradition of continuing education provided through the IAS tutorials, I am pleased to offer this column to serve as the call for tutorials for the 2001 Annual Meeting. The 2001 meeting will be held in Chicago, where there is an excellent local base of engineering research and development as well as industrial manufacturing and production. In order to provide the greatest benefit to the tutorial attendees, we will again offer continuing education units through IEEE for tutorials that qualify, and I urge all presenters to take the small additional steps that are required for certification.
