Generation of Rooftop Solar Energy Potential Map Using Machine Learning and Deep Learning Based Building Footprint Extraction

The project will develop a geospatial web portal for estimating roof solar panel potential. Machine learning on the basis of deep learning might retrieve footprints of buildings from high-resolution satellite images. This provides mapping area on the screen and computes energy generation using the available satellite data of solar radiation in that particular area, along with estimates about what type of panel setup is ideal. Utilizing state- of-the-art detection models (like YOLO, FCNN), the system allows for comprehensive urban planning & resource management analysis while keeping the interface easy to use.
