Research on the Method of Redundant Force Suppression for Aircraft Active Side Sticks Based on Adaptive Robust Control

The problem of redundant force present in the system resulting from the pilot's manipulation of the active side stick may give rise to poor postural perception, which in turn affects the handling quality. It should be noted that the redundant force can only be mitigated rather than eradicated. In order to suppress the redundant force, this paper elaborates on a variety of control strategies, proposes an adaptive robust control approach, establishes a system model, designs a robust controller, and carries out stability analysis. Through experimental verification, the control performances of PID and adaptive robust control on both linear and nonlinear rod-force curves under different speeds are investigated. The results demonstrate that adaptive robust control enhances the force control accuracy by approximately 60% compared to PID, and exhibits superior error stability.
