Application of Double Stack Magneto-Resistance Sensor for Angular Measurements at Joints in a Two-Link Bipedal Robot

This paper presents the application of double stack magneto-resistance sensor (DSMRS) in a two-link bipedal robot. A non-linear magnetic transducer-Double stack TMR sensor, is used for the detection of accurate movement of robot. A direct digital interface and their methodology is discussed in order to find the accurate joint angle for two-link biped robot. The SPICE based simulation and experimental based study is carried out to analyze the effectiveness of device. The interface parameters like standard deviation, signal to noise ratio, enob and repeatability error are calculated.
