Design and Implementation of Series-Parallel Connectable Memristor Simulators Based on Combination of Virtuality and Reality

Research into the application of memristors is limited by nanotechnology and stringent experimental conditions and is still not able to move beyond the laboratory. Therefore, in order to analyze and study memristors in greater depth, it is necessary to develop equivalent models of memristors to describe their actual physical properties. This process is necessary for the analysis and study of memristors and is the key to overcoming the existing limitations. The “Lab of Electronics Innovation” (LEI) allows realistic manipulation of hardware such as oscilloscopes, signal sources, power supplies, etc. by combining it with the A+D Lab, a portable intelligent laboratory instrumentation hardware, using an instrumentation operator panel similar to that of a traditional laboratory instrument. The main focus of this paper is on the implementation of memristor simulation circuits in multisim circuit simulation software, the verification of the memristor characteristics, and the real circuit implementation of memristor circuit models based on the “Lab of Electronics Innovation”, which combines instruments and real devices in a non-laboratory environment with a virtual operator interface. Finally, the characteristics of the series-parallel connection between the memristor simulators were tested.
