Performance Enhancement of Power System Through Fuzzy Controlled GUPFC

The system stability and power quality are the most incredibly essential requirement for a power system. Utility electricity supply help in meeting the load demands of consumers in a clean and efficient manner. FACTS devices are developed to feed customers while preserving the stability of the power system during failures. This research work presents stability examination of distribution system with and without GUPFC when various faults occur. The results obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK for such system configurations are presented in this work. It is found that GUPFC successfully mitigates voltage sag occurring during fault conditions and helps in performance enhancement of the 5 bus distribution system and thus ensures quality of power supply being delivered to all load buses.
