A Memristor-Based VCO for Switching-Mode PLL System

In this paper, a memristor-based sinusoidal VCO using a single OTA with dual-current output is presented. The Resistance-Controlled-Gain (RCG) property of the OTA is used for accomplishing memristance independent oscillation condition. The proposed design operates in a frequency range between 20 MHz and 30 MHz. It can be integrated with a memristor-based phase-frequency-detector to introduce a memristor-based phase-locked-loop system with low area and power consumption valid for many biomedical applications.
