Solar Power Feed Wireless Power Transfer System to Charge EV Battery Using Fuzzy Logic Control

This paper discuss about solar powered wireless power transfer (WPT) for battery charging system using proportional integral (PI) and fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The WPT used in electric vehicle is popular due to the absence of wire connections and unstable operations of converter voltage, current and power can be analyzed and controlled by the system. The proposed methods of conventional PI controller and fuzzy logic controllers are implemented using MATLAB/Simulink and analyzed the output voltage and error parameters. The hardware model is implemented using PIC16F877A microcontroller and the output wave forms are analyzed. The simulation outputs of PI and fuzzy controller settling time are 0.34sec and 0.04sec. the output voltage is 18V. Hardware output is compared with the software output.
