Leveraging Augmented Reality for Dynamic Visualization of Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law

In this study, an augmented reality (AR) application aimed at supporting the instruction of Kirchhoff Voltage Law (KVL) through interactive, real-time circuit representation was developed. Users then scan physical markers representing circuit components, to see voltage dips in a virtual environment. The product uses AR technology to present students with an interactive accessible environment for learning and practicing their KVL concepts in a more immersive way by binding the abstract understanding of theory with practice. The program was subsequently tested for usability and functionality and it demonstrates a smooth user-friendly experience. The configuration allows circuit combinations to be changed simply and allows for more in-depth study of electrical principles. The authors identify future development goals as extending the system to more sophisticated circuit analysis topics and integrating it with online learning platforms further, which suggests the potential of AR in disrupting electrical engineering education.
