IoT-Enabled Smart Car Parking System with Route Navigation

Smart car parking management system integration is a necessary component of transforming current infrastructure into smart cities. Finding parking spaces becomes more difficult, especially in cities with large population densities, such as metropolitan areas. The issue of finding parking spaces in mall and complex basement parking is due to inadequate spaces and inappropriate parking space use. Thus, this paper aims to offer a solution that uses mobile apps and the Internet of Things (IoT). The goal is to direct people to the unoccupied parking slot with the guided route. This system consists of an LCD, a servo motor, LEDs, a Wi-Fi-enabled ESP32 module, an Arduino ATmega2560, and IR sensors. The Arduino ATmega2560 microcontroller is used to gather and interpret real-time sensor data, and The LEDs are utilized for indoor navigation to identify the location of available parking slots. The ESP32 Wi-Fi module then transmits the parking information data to the Blynk cloud, which can be accessed through the Blynk smartphone app. The system prototype has been put through actual testing to ensure that it is both functional and applicable. The findings illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in monitoring parking space occupancy and delivering real-time data to the Blynk cloud server.
