Structured Light 3D Measurement of Interreflective Surfaces by Efficient Adaptive Partitioned Projection

Active optical 3D reconstruction has a wide range of applications in the field of industrial measurement. However, when using these methods such as fringe projection profilometry to reconstruct interreflective surfaces, there will be multiple reflections of light between different regions of the surface. This leads to interference between the fringes, which in turn affects phase calculation and matching of corresponding points, thus resulting in errors or missing 3D points in the reconstruction. In this paper, we propose an efficient adaptive partitioned projection reconstruction method that utilizes perception of mutual reflection. The method does not require scene priors. Instead it first detects mutual reflections on the surface, followed by clustering and partitioning to enable partitioned projection and reconstruction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can perform rapid and accurate partitioning, with good final reconstruction results, effectively addressing the issue of poor measurement quality on interreflective surfaces.
