Real-Time Virtual Classroom Platform: Integrating React, Firebase, WebRTC, and Socket.io

This paper discusses the process of creating a virtual classroom platform. The main goal of this platform is to provide students and teachers uninterrupted learning experiences. React JS is used for designing the frontend part, and Firebase is used for authentication and storing data like classroom details and study materials, etc. WebRTC and Socket.io are used in real-time video conferencing and messaging systems. This platform helps teachers to share assignments, announcements, and course materials. This platform is built to accomplish the requirement for the environments of online learning, which makes learning more adaptable, engaging, and effective. WebRTC and Socket.io offer high-quality, real-time group video calling features, and Firebase is used for data storage for course materials and assignments. Socket.io also provides a reliable real-time messaging system at the time of video conferencing, which helps to have an interactive learning experience for the students and teachers. This paper discusses the main concepts, technical architecture, challenges faced during the implementation process, testing, and its outcomes, and the future scopes of this platform, which include the capability of handling a large number of users in video conferences and adding analytics features.
