A Method for Extracting the Key Structural Parameters of Power Towers Oriented to Point Cloud Data

This thesis presents an extraction method for the key structural parameters of power towers targeting point cloud data. From the point cloud data of power towers scanned by lidar, based on the symmetry of the tower structure and the variation in the axial point cloud distribution, the elevation plane of the tower and the hanging points of conductors and ground wires are identified. The structural parameters such as the elevation of the tower, the mid-distance of the hanging points of conductors and ground wires, and the height of the hanging points of conductors and ground wires are automatically extracted, providing an accurate data basis for the subsequent operation and maintenance of transmission lines.
