CNC Machine Tool Operation Status Monitoring System Based on Digital Twins

Aiming at the problem of difficulty in obtaining fault data for remote status monitoring and fault diagnosis of CNC machine tools, a digital-twin based method for remote status monitoring and fault data simulation of CNC machine tools is proposed. Firstly, a digital model of the CNC machine tool is constructed using 3D modeling software. Then, a digital twin model of the CNC machine tool is built in Unity3D to monitor its operating status. In addition, the constructed digital twin model of the CNC machine tool spindle was used to simulate the fault data of the machine tool spindle bearing, which will be used as training data for the diagnosis of machine tool spindle bearing faults. Finally, a machine tool operation monitoring UI interface based on digital twin was designed and developed.
