Design and Experiment of New Faraday Shielding Channel for CFETR ICRF Antenna

A new design concept for the flow channels within the Faraday shield of the ICRF antenna, directly facing the plasma, is proposed. Numerical simulations are conducted to compare two types of flow channels-traditional straight pipes and newly designed flow channels-under the same heating source conditions. During the numerical simulation, the same boundary conditions, heat flux density, flow rate of water in the pipe, and structural material (316L stainless steel) are applied. By comparing the maximum temperature of the flow channels under identical conditions, this work provides guidance for the design and optimization of flow channels in the Faraday shield of ICRF antennas in CFETR.
