Comorbidities and Associated Genes Finding for Diabetes Affected Venous Blood Cell by Analyzing Gene Expression Data

Type-2 diabetes (T2D) is a complicated condition with various diseases, known as comorbidities, that really makes people's health complex. Finding these comorbidities and their associated genes are important for better diagnosis, treatment, and overall care for people's health. In this study, we have analysed publicly available gene expression data for various cells, including venous blood cell, and conditions. Intensive bioinformatics analyses have been performed to identify comorbidities of T2D and their associated genes for venous blood cell. We have predicted four diseases associated with T2D for venous blood sample as thyroid gland cancer, breast carcinoma, stomach cancer and echinococcosis. Also we have found associations of eight genes-MAPK1, TLR4, NCOA1, PLCG2, BIRC2, MAP3K1, TLR2 and EP300, with both the diseases and T2D. Among these eight disease genes, we have further detected three genes as hub genes in the PPI network. Among the hub genes, MAPK1 is associated with all the four diseases, EP300 with breast carcinoma and TLR4 with echinococcosis. The findings of this study could help the researchers to understand deeply at the molecular level of T2D and its complications. Future studies could dive deeper into these findings to create better tools for diagnosis and treatment for diabetes and related issues.
