This chapter discusses how to use artificial intelligence (AI) and AI operations (AIOps) tools to identify service performance, looks at metrics for typical key performance indicators and critical success factors, and explains how to report on the outcomes of using AIOps to stakeholders, leadership, and those who have invested heavily in the products that have been deployed. There is a need to fully understand information technology metrics, data gathering (mining and analysis), and how to report on what matters as well as what to do about the readers' findings. With a large platform like AIOps, the automation, workflow development, and advanced handling of issues come over time where the system can begin its learning process and make smart decisions based on analyzed data.
