Azure Cognitive Services Landscape

Summary

This chapter introduces the Azure Cognitive Services technology for us to understand what it is and how it can enhance SharePoint Premium. Azure Cognitive Services by Microsoft is a group of technologies that is under one umbrella and includes several leading‐edge artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create incredible applications. Cognitive Services allows us to create AI models in the following technological spaces: vision services, speech services, language services, decision services, and OpenAI services. Azure Speech Service is a managed service offering that includes a suite of applications to allow us to enable speech‐related AI services. Azure Cognitive Service for Vision is a collection of cloud‐based machine learning algorithms designed to analyze images and videos for content and other useful information. Decision Services are a series of cloud‐based AI services that surface recommendations to enable informed and efficient decision making for business owners.
