Building Your AI Operating Model and Transformation Plan

This chapter deep dives into how to craft an AI operating model that fits businesses of all sizes. It unlocks some of the keys for achieving seamless AI integration, such as starting small, scaling with agility, building cross‐functional teams around a product, and fostering a culture of innovation. The AI transformation plan is a strategic plan focusing on taking the organization forward in adopting AI at the enterprise level. The chapter outlines some of the components of an AI transformation plan. While the AI COE team will be responsible for developing and executing the AI transformation plan, the AI operating model will provide the framework and the best practices to foster AI adoption at our enterprise. The transformation plan includes vision and objectives, current‐state assessment, future‐state vision, roadmap, implementation plan, timeline, change management, and communication plan.
