Genetic Algorithm-Based Substation Access Road Optimization Method

As the construction environment of power networks becomes increasingly complex, substation construction areas are gradually expanding from flatlands to high-altitude regions and mountainous areas. The environment between substation locations and main roads is becoming more intricate. Traditional road planning methods are inefficient and struggle to balance various factors over large areas. To address this, this paper proposes a substation access road optimization technique based on genetic algorithms. Using GIS to load high-resolution imagery, a road excavation-fill balance model is established, and the intelligent optimization of access roads is achieved through genetic algorithms. Experimental results show that this method can achieve excavation-fill balance and effectively improve the efficiency of access road selection.
