Research and Analysis on the Topology of a Two-Stage Electromagnetic Launch Circuit Based on Energy Recovery

This study investigates a two-stage electromagnetic launch circuit based on energy recovery, focusing on the excitation circuitry utilized in an electromagnetic net launcher for its operational efficacy. This study is aiming to improve the energy efficiency and launch frequency of electromagnetic launch systems. The basic principles of electromagnetic launch and the composition of electromagnetic launch systems are first introduced. Then, the working principle of the two-stage electromagnetic launch circuit topology and the selection of key parameters are elaborated in detail. Next, the effects of different parameters on circuit performance were analyzed through simulation. Finally, the feasibility of the two-stage electromagnetic launch circuit is verified experimentally. The results show that this circuit can effectively improve the energy utilization efficiency and launch frequency of electromagnetic launch systems, thereby providing a new direction for the development of electromagnetic launch technology.
