Applications of Dielectric Characterization Methods in Measuring the Mechanical Properties of Polymers

Based on the theory of dielectrostriction, this paper proposes a method for the dielectric characterization of mechanical properties of polymer materials. Strain-dielectric model and orientation-dielectric model are established for solid polymer materials and liquid polymer materials respectively, and experimental platforms are built to verify the models. This method has potential advantages in the field of in-situ online measuring during the forming process of polymer materials.
