Design and Research of a PLC Simulation Training System Based on EtherCAT

With the rapid development of industrial automation, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) plays a crucial role as a core control device in the production process. However, due to limited equipment resources in traditional training, it is difficult to conduct high-quality training activities comprehensively. To solve this issue and enhance students' practical skills, designing a digital PLC simulation training system based on EtherCAT has become essential. This paper utilizes OpenPLC programming, integrating Igh EtherCAT Master as the master station and EtherCAT Slave Stack Code to configure the slave station. Communication is realized through the FC1100 network card, constructing a PLC simulation training system. The system aims to provide students with an intuitive learning platform, helping them understand the working principles of PLC and the application of the EtherCAT protocol, thus improving the quality of experimental teaching.
