Monitoring and Control System of TDS Levels in AB Mix Nutrition in Vertical Hydroponic Photovoltaic for Pakcoy Plant Growth

Hydroponics is an agricultural cultivation system that does not use soil; instead, the soil medium is replaced with water containing nutrients. Hydroponics is used for farming in limited spaces and without soil. This method can help increase food production. The hydroponic system is currently being developed to address issues affecting plant growth by automatically controlling growth parameters, which can maximize crop yields and minimize failures. One effort to maintain hydroponic quality is by monitoring the nutrient content in the hydroponic system, specifically by maintaining the nutrient levels. This monitoring uses the Internet of Things (IoT), which can be accessed via smartphones, allowing for remote monitoring. Additionally, the hydroponic system uses photovoltaic technology so that hydroponics can be developed even in areas far from electrical sources. With the vertical hydroponic nutrient content monitoring system, it is expected to improve the quality of crop production. Research results show that the growth of pakcoy plants with control is better compared to without control, as seen from the percentage of height growth and number of leaves. In terms of plant height growth, controlled pakcoy plants experienced a growth of 10.85%, while pakcoy plants without control showed a growth of 6.97%. The growth in the number of leaves of controlled pak choi plants showed a result of 10.90%, and the growth of leaves without control and monitoring showed a result of 5.71%.
