Information System for Activity Support in Systems

Information system intended for activity support suggested in the article. The information system is based on the notion of practical problem solving, performed by the information system. Such problem solving may take various forms. The simplest form involves providing activities instructions (activity plans, descriptions, prescriptions, or actions details) as pre-defined reactions to received messages or data. In the absence of predefined instructions, the second method becomes necessary, focusing on the more complex task of constructing required instructions. This challenge can be viewed as the search for problem solutions in the form of the answers to questions about the required descriptions, prescriptions, plans, or details of the activity to perform. The article argues that problem solving is fundamentally an informational process, performed by an information system, and aimed at adjusting the agent’s behavior according to received messages. The author emphasizes that practical problem-solving is a key means of applying information and is a crucial aspect of informational activities. The core concepts and methodologies associated with this approach are explored, along with a transformational perspective on problem formulation and resolution using the suggested information system. The set of elements, schema of functioning of the activity support information system is elaborated.
