A Method for Distributed Photovoltaic-Storage Cluster Partition with the Goal of Improving Cluster Regulation Potential

With the large-scale integration of Distributed Photovoltaics (DPV), the distribution network will face more problems such as voltage exceeding limits and power backflow across voltage levels, which have a great impact on the operation of the distribution network. This type of problem is more prominent under the operating conditions of long lines and light loads in the distribution network in northwest China. In order to enhance the regulation ability of the distribution network when the voltage exceeds the limit in this situation, this paper proposes a distributed photovoltaic-storage cluster partition method with the goal of improving Cluster Regulation Potential (CRP). Firstly, taking into account the impact of cluster power scheduling, define a CRP index based on optimal energy storage regulation and its calculation method. On this basis, an improved comprehensive performance index is proposed as the basis for cluster partition by combining the CRP index with the modularity index. Then, using the improved K-means clustering algorithm as the partition algorithm, the selection of initial clustering centers is optimized and the clustering results are obtained. Finally, the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed method were verified through simulation using the IEEE33 node system as an example.
