Optimization of Relay Position in Power Line Carrier Communication in Virtual Power Plant

Power line carrier communication will be widely used in local communication networks of virtual power plant due to its low cost and wide distribution. In response to the problems of low communication reliability and poor business guarantee ability caused by improper selection of relay nodes in power line carrier communication, this paper studies a three hop relay power line communication system for communication between receiving and transmitting nodes, and derives the judgment criteria for the optimal installation position of relay nodes when installing two relays in the power line communication system. Selecting a specific broadband power line communication system, in order to achieve the best performance, simulation verified the network error rate of installing two relay devices on the socket between the transmitting and receiving ends of the laid power line according to the proposed optimal relay location selection standard. The simulation results show that the optimal relay location selection standard can improve the reliability of the network. The theory proposed in this article provides a theoretical basis for the deployment design of power line carrier network in the local communication network of virtual power plant.
