Predictive Control MPC for wind turbine systems based DFIG

In this paper, we present a new contribution for the control of wind systems based on DFIG. The MPC predictive control offers better performance in terms of tracking and robustness compared to other controls. By using the relationship between rotor voltages and active and reactive power derivatives, the suggested algorithm, the model predictive control optimized by the FCS-MPPC finite control set, directly controls the DFIG powers. The proposed model is validated by the Matlab & Simulink environment thus the results obtained show better performance in terms of stability and efficiency, the results have been well interpreted and compared.
