Research on the Teaching Reform of Interdisciplinary Courses under the Background of the Construction of New Liberal Arts: Taking "Data Visualization and Communication" as an Example

The construction of new liberal arts requires breaking disciplinary barriers and achieving the interdisciplinary integration of liberal arts majors. The teaching reform of cross-disciplinary courses is imperative. Starting from the overview of the Data Visualization and Communication course, this paper points out the existing problems in the current teaching. It conducts teaching reform research from several aspects such as the concept of curriculum reform, the design of curriculum content, and the reform of teaching models, and elaborates on the innovative features of the reform. Finally, it summarizes the achievements of the curriculum reform and the direction of continuous reform in the future.
