The effect of Dongshi Qixue combined with Ding Chen Fu Zheng Tang on gastric cancer patients with postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction

Objective:To explore the effect of Dongshi Qixue combined with Ding Chen Fu Zheng decoction on gastric cancer patients with postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction. Method: Sixty patients who underwent gastric cancer surgery at Xingtai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August 2017 to August 2019 were randomly divided into a study group and a control group using a random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment, while the study group received treatment with Dongshi Qixue combined with Ding Chen Fu Zheng Tang in addition to the control group. Compare the recovery time of postoperative gastrointestinal function between two groups, as well as the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score and quality of life score before and after treatment. Result: The first time of anal defecation, defecation time, and the time for bowel sounds to return to normal in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). The traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups of patients were significantly lower than before treatment, while the study group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). The quality of life scores of the two groups of patients were significantly higher than before treatment, and the quality of life scores of the study group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of Dongshi Qixue and Ding Chen Fu Zheng decoction can effectively restore postoperative gastrointestinal function of gastric cancer, improve digestive system symptoms, and improve the quality of life of patients, with certain clinical efficacy.
