Sliding-Mode-Based Driving Torque Distribution for Dynamic Control of Dual-Motor Electric Vehicles

This paper presents an anti-slip control system for dual-motor electric vehicles, utilizing a sliding mode control (SMC) approach. The control strategy calculates the torque distribution coefficients for the front and rear motors to mitigate slip and enhance vehicle stability. By applying the sliding mode method, the controller ensures robust performance under varying road conditions, reducing the risk of loss of traction. The proposed system is tested by simulations with representative scenarios to validate its effectiveness in maintaining low slip ratios and improving the overall performance of the vehicle, especially in low-friction environments.
