Hand Gesture Controlled Robot Arm

In this paper we will be focusing on hand gesture controlled robot arms, the aim of this research is to develop an intuitive and easy to use system. For the purpose of demonstrating my proposed system and design, a prototype was made, the system is composed of two parts. The robotic arm is an articulated robot arm with 6 degrees of freedom that uses 6 servo motors (MG996R) to drive the joints, a servo driver (PCA9685), an Arduino Uno and a Bluetooth module (HC-05 / slave) for wireless connection. The glove controller uses hand gestures to send signals to the robot arm to control it, comprised of 4 flex sensors, gyroscope sensor (MPU6050), Arduino Nano and a Bluetooth module (HC-05 / master).Through research and analysis many tests were performed to calibrate the different components so that the finished assembled prototype could work seamlessly while performing tasks.
