Hybrid-impulses-based Distributed Combinatorial Secondary Control for Islanded DC Microgrids

This paper presents a distributed combinatorial secondary control scheme to tackle the DC bus voltage regulation issue and the current sharing issue in an islanded DC microgrid. The distributed combinatorial secondary control combines the continuous control for voltage regulation with the impulse control for current sharing. In contrast to other secondary control strategies, each source in the DC microgrid only requires to interaction and sampling of current information at the moment of impulse triggering, which significantly decreases the communication and sampling costs. A rigorous stability analysis is given to prove that the proposed scheme allows the DC bus voltage to be kept at its rated value as well as accurate current sharing if the average impulsive interval satisfies a certain condition. Eventually, a simulation test confirms the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
