Analysis of Parameters Influencing Electric Vehicle Range, Velocity, Acceleration & Battery Capacity

The range, velocity, acceleration, and battery capacity of electric vehicles (EVs) are crucial factors influencing their performance and consumer appeal. With the rapid advancements in EV technology, manufacturers are introducing models with varying motor types, body structures, and battery configurations, making it challenging for consumers to compare and select the most suitable option. This study analyzes the key parameters affecting EV performance by simulating different configurations using MATLAB’s Simulink and Simscape tools. The Electric Vehicle Simulator models essential components such as drive cycles, motor controllers, DC motors, gearboxes, and vehicle bodies to evaluate their impact on overall performance. By systematically comparing simulation results, this research provides insights into how these factors influence EV efficiency, enabling consumers and manufacturers to make more informed decisions regarding electric vehicle selection and optimization.
