Analysis of Power Managment in a Grid Connected PV System with Energy Storage Device

Power management analysis in microgrid system is one of the important research areas in the recent age. In this paper, a PV integrated Grid sytem with energy storage back up is developed to analyze the power management. All the generating units and the battery is interconnected through different types of converters. The battery is used as backup enrgy source and it is operated when solar fails to generate and in the condition of low power generation. To keep the system stable and of high quality, an inverter controller must be used. To extract maximum power, the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) approach is also used. The suggested system uses the power management technique to control the correct operation of every unit and the power distribution between the grid and battery. It also effectively monitors the battery’s charge level while it is operating. To regulate the power flow, a bidirectional converter is linked to the battery. With the aid of an inverter, the DC output from the PV and battery is supplied to the grid and load. After the reference current is generated using PMA and a proportional integral controller (PI), all of the related converters switch. Through simulation, the suggested work’s efficacy is confirmed.
