Study of tools available for Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) on different platforms

The objective of this study is to investigate the various tools that can be used to implement Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) technology on various platforms and enhance the current knowledge in the domain of process automation. Due to the increasing demand of intelligent devices with digital communication capabilities, the need for effective communication between field equipment and control systems is required. The paper highlights HART technology as a standard for digital information transmission and reception in industrial data communication. The paper comprises characteristics of HART standards and various tools for its implementation. The necessary tools for implementing HART technology, such as FDT Frames, DD/EDD Operating Tools, DTMs, DDs, and EDDs have been discussed. This study supports in the implementation of HART standard for any industrial application.
