“The Crossed Loop Antenna”

A crossed loop / half loop antenna is described providing dual circular polarization and hemispherical radiation patterns for space applications. Usefully isotropic radiation is provided if the ground plane is omitted. Good radiation efficiency is provided at diminutive electrically small size. Capacitor loading allows tuning over at 10:1 frequency range and wide adjustment in size. Inductive coupling loops are used to realize a novel hybrid power divider in situ. Applications include aviation, satellite, GPS and terrestrial communications. Simple wire construction is shown.
