Enabling Non-Contact Heart Rate Monitoring with Readily Available mmW Radars

Non-contact vital sign detection has emerged as an innovative solution in healthcare, offering the potential for continuous, non-invasive monitoring. This paper focuses on non-contact heart rate (HR) detection, a critical physiological parameter for diagnosing and managing cardiovascular health. The reliable and accurate acquisition of HR responses has been made possible at a commercial level through various approaches. However, as shown in this paper, fully accurate non-contact heart rate acquisition is yet to be achieved.
