3-D ESPRIT Channel Estimation Performance Analysis of IRS-Assisted Massive MIMO IoT Systems

This article presents a novel 3D-ESPRIT algorithm designed to estimate channel information and detect symbols in Internet of Things (IoT) systems aided by Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS). Traditional methods for symbol detection and channel estimation face challenges in complex IoT environments. The 3D-ESPRIT algorithm addresses these by utilizing an IRS model that accurately estimates channels and mitigates issues like multipath propagation and interference. Through simulations, the algorithm shows superior performance in both channel estimation and symbol detection under various conditions, including noisy environments. Its robustness, efficiency, and noise immunity make it a valuable solution for future IoT applications.
