Design of Sub-band Cooperative Beamforming for Onboard Digital Transparent Processor

A sub-band cooperative beamforming method is proposed for onboard digital transparent processor, which may be affected in orbit by the harsh electromagnetic environment. In the proposed scheme, several discrete sub-bands are cooperative to retransmit the signal, which are assigned independent gain adjustment coefficient. Under the criterion of maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio of the ground receiver, a mathematical model is established for optimizing the received signal-to-noise ratio. The proposed sub-band cooperative beamforming scheme can effectively utilize the interfered spectrum resources, improve the system outage performance and reduce the impact of interference on normal communications for digital transparent processor.
