Research on Direction Finding Error Analysis Based on Passive Sonar Buoy Array

The passive sonar buoy direction finding error determines the cross positioning accuracy of the sonar buoy array. At present, passive sonar buoy arrays often ignore the actual changes in passive direction finding errors during cross positioning, resulting in overly ideal cross positioning errors. The passive direction finding error is usually affected by factors such as formula approximation, measurement error, buoy deployment error, and buoy position deviation with waves. In response to the above issues, the basic principle of passive direction finding applicable to passive sonar buoy arrays was first introduced. Secondly, the approximate formula error, measurement error, float deployment error, and float position deviation error were analyzed. Finally, the impact of four types of errors on the cross positioning of passive sonar buoy arrays was simulated, and suggestions for improving the accuracy of cross positioning were provided.
