Novel Analytical Approach for PEM Electrolyzer Modelling and Analysis of Parameters Impact on Cell Performance

This work explores the impact of several parameters on PEM electrolyzer performance. The investigated parameters were divided into two sections. The first section studies the influence of operating conditions, the second section aims to analyze the effect of manufacturing materials and electrolyzer cell design. Besides, a novel analytical expression has been proposed and integrated in ohmic resistance model, the expression provides a comprehensive description of the number of channels within the flow-field structure, offering a novel correlation between this latter and ohmic resistance, which gives a more comprehensive ohmic model.
