An Energy Management Strategy for Triple Active Bridge using Moving Discretized Control Set Model Predictive Control

The triple active bridge (TAB) is characterized by its flexible control and high energy transmission efficiency. It can serve in a multi-source power supply system composed of fuel cell, Li-ion battery, and loads. In this paper an energy management strategy with moving discretized control set model predictive control (MDCS-MPC) is proposed for the multi-source hybrid power supply system. First, with the power analysis of TAB, MDCS-MPC for TAB is proposed. Subsequently, an analysis of the operational status of the multi-source hybrid power system is conducted and a corresponding energy management strategy (EMS) is proposed. Finally, simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed EMS with MDCS-MPC.
