Mechanism Study of Crosstalk between Single-core Cables in Particle Accelerator

In order to solve the problem of coupling crosstalk of high-power magnet power cables for pulsed operation in particle accelerators, the dipole magnet cables of the enhancer of the Strong-Flow Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) are used as an object of study. The technical means, combining theoretical calculation, model simulation and field testing, are used to analyse the transmission principle of the signal on the cable and to establish a parametric model of the crosstalk coupling of parallel laid cables. The electromagnetic crosstalk problem is studied in the frequency range 0-400 MHz, and a far-end crosstalk regime with a single cable as the attack line is given, with the most severe coupling near the 100 MHz frequency. The accurate simulation of transmission lines using software provides the basis for engineering prediction, verification and support for transmission line parameters. It also provides certain engineering solutions for inter-line crosstalk, which have been shown to be effective in test results.
