Speed Control of Induction Motor Using Hippopotamus Optimizer Based Sliding Mode Controller with SVPWM Method for Electric Vehicle

A novel speed control of induction motor is resented in this paper through the use of sliding mode control (SMC) combined with space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) where updated various parameters of SMC by using Hippopotamus optimization method. The proposed induction motor drive is especially suitable for applications requiring variable speed drives, like electric vehicles. The speed and flux responses experience significant improvement through the implementation of SMC with SVPWM methodology. In order o achieve accurate response of the induction motor drive, fractional-order PID (FOPID) controllers are utilized in the proposed method. Various parameters involved in the drive system must be updated according to the changes in the system to obtain the better response. Hence, Hippopotamus optimization algorithm is developed to update various parameters which can help to produce accurate outputs during rapid changes in the drive system. The SMC utilizing SVM methodology is crafted to attain the targeted dynamic response and endure external disruptions. Lyapunov stability analysis is utilized to guarantee the stable performance of the drive system. Detailed mathematical modeling of the proposed drive system is also included in this paper. The suggested system has been verified by simulations carried out on the MATLAB/Simulink platform and [resented various results under different case studies.
