Voltage Sensitivity Analysis For AC/DC Distribution System with EV Load Modelling

In this paper the AC/DC distributed network is studied on the basis of voltage sensitivity analysis with the inclusion of EV's (Electric Vehicle) of different rating to analyze the impact on the system. The EV load modeling in three different equations are represented, that is, ZIP (Constant Impedance, Constant Current, and Constant Power) load model or polynomial load model (EVI), VDL (Voltage Dependent Load) model (EVII) and constant current load model (EVIII). The voltage sensitivity analysis method is presented in the form of topological structure of the network to calculate the sensitivity of voltage in the radial distribution network. The study has been carried out on the Ten bus and Fifteen bus radial distribution network to analyze the voltage sensitivity with the EV load modeling in the network. The results obtained in the analysis shows the different impacts on the network with different EV load modeling. However, it also shows that inclusion of EV can be a challenging task for the energy management in the system so it must be placed in the optimal way to reduce the impact on the power grid.
